What is it? Early Head Start is a program that promotes healthy pregnancies and early education for infants and children between ages six weeks and three years. What do I get? Early childhood education similar to Head Start, immunizations, health check-ups and nutritious meals. Programs normally run during regular school hours, September through June. There are also some full-day, full-year programs. How long do I get it? Your children may participate in Early Head Start as long as they still qualify. You will need to re-apply every year. |
