What is it? Fuel Fund of Maryland, Inc. is a 501 (C)3 charitable organization whose mission is to supplement the resources of those experiencing hardship with their home energy needs. What do you get? Fuel Fund will work with you and your energy provider to help resolve your bill. How long do you get it? You may be eligible for Fuel Fund assistance once every 12 months. |

To apply for
Fuel Fund assistance you must first apply for MEAP (Maryland Energy Assistance)
Program).
You can also sign up for the Utility Service Protection Program (USPP), which can help protect you from utility cut-offs. Households receiving MEAP may qualify for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which provides free weather stripping, caulking, etc. to help make your home more fuel efficient and comfortable. |
