The Baltimore City Health Department

The School Health Programs provides school health services in every Baltimore City Public School. In addition, the program administers fifteen School-Based Health Centers, which offer primary health care, health education, and mental health care. Substance abuse services are available at eleven sites.
Some students require medication and or medical treatments while they are in school. Health staff are available in school to provide this service. In order to provide this service, the appropriate form must be completed and signed by the student's medical provider and the parent/guardian.

Basic and urgent dental care services available to low income, uninsured or Medicaid enrolled Baltimore City youths ages 3-20 yrs. and adults ages 65- older. There are two locations where services are offered.

Adult and Geriatric Health Services http://www.baltimorehealth.org/seniors.htmlThere are a variety of adult and geriatric health services offered through the Baltimore City Health Department. To learn more about these and other programs visit their web site or call (410) 396-6006
- Adult Evaluation and Review Services (AERS) AERS provides assistance to aged and functionally disabled adults who are at risk of institutionalization.
- Assisted Living Unit Surveys and monitors Assisted Living Facilities with three beds or less in Baltimore City.
- Medical Assistance Personal Care Program Provides assistance to individuals who have a chronic illness or disability and are eligible for Medical Assistance.
- Retired and Senior Volunteers Program Provides opportunities for individuals age 55 or older to serve as volunteers at non-profit and government agencies.
- Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
- Senor Companion Program Provides support and personal assistance to the frail elderly. There is no fee for this service.

The Men's Health Center provides Primary Care and Substance Abuse Treatment for men aged 19-64, who are residents of Baltimore City. Services are free to uninsured Baltimore City men.

Planned Parenthood of Maryland has been providing high quality, affordable reproductive health care for more than 75 years. They serve women, men and teens from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs. Planned Parenthood of Maryland accepts most Maryland Medical Assistance and most major commercial insurance. Health Care for the Homeless provides a comprehensive range of services to low income people or those experiencing homelessness. Services include:
- Primary and Preventive Medical Care
- Mental Health Services
- Social Work and case management (including referrals for food & shelter)
- Addiction treatment through a State-Certified Outpatient Treatment Program
