What is it? Medical Assistance, also called Medicaid, is a government health insurance program that helps certain individuals and families with children pay for some or all of their medical bills. What do you get? Free medical services such as doctors services, dental care, home care, hospital care, and many other health-related services. How long do you get it? You can get Medical Assistance as long as you still qualify but you'll need to recertify every 12 months. 'Recertify' means having a Medical Assistance worker check that you still qualify. |
